*bows* Greetings fellow Consulars and Jedi alike. I am continuing my report on the history of our great Order and its many achievements and victories, as well as its failings and losses. Below is a report on two of the first of our organization's very tests: The First and Second Jedi Schism
As the Jedi watched closely from their fortress on Ossus, the Galactic Republic continued to grow, sheilded by its viligent defenders. Over time however, a familiar threat began its recovery, and soon the disciples of Bogan finally revealed themselves. Gathering support, these "dark Jedi" finally seperated themselves from the Jedi Order and sought to destroy it. Calling themselves the Legion of Lettow, these Jedi believed that true power was obtained through passion and emotion, not the pensive meditation taught by their Jedi Masters. The tension eventually escaleted and drew the two groups into conflict, though the Jedi were victorious. While the traitors were temporarily defeated, the sinister nature of the Bogan would return to forever test the Jedi, and the First Schism left the the Order fewer. As the Jedi and Republic turned their attention to defend the Perlemian Route from the encroaching Hutts and Tionese empires, fortifying the planets of Ossus, Falang Minor, and Haashimut in response. As the route was finally secured, several sects within the Jedi began taking up the old and forbidden teachings of the Bogan, using their newfound powers to manipulate life itself. It was rumored that their powers could prevent death and restore entire worlds, resulting in the natural abuse of such power. While the first rebels, the Legion of Lettow, had long been defeated their legacy would remain. Soon a new group of young Jedi took up their vision and began voicing their new gifts. Firmly adamant in protecting their newly acquired powers, this sect of Jedi sought to convince the other Jedi to join their quest for eternal life and galactic bliss. The others were not convinced and tried to distance themselves from the situation. Firmly convinced that their way was right, the arguments turned into conflict. Learning from their past experiences, the Jedi moved quickly to confront the dark practitioners. Though they were exiled, these traitors fled the Jedi held worlds and set out to create a dark army of their own, vowing vengence against those who had wronged them and began a war that would last a hundred years.
Retreating from Jedi worlds such as Tython, the exiled Jedi raised an animalistic army of dark side abominations. However, even against these incarnations of the dark side, the Jedi began to push the rogues back. The animalistic army was easily overwhelmed by the power of the Jedi, but the exiles refused to surrender. Duels to the death between Jedi became the deciding factor of many battles. By the second half of the war, the Dark Jedi were in a state of despair; they were simply outnumbered and could see no way of winning. However once again, the Dark Jedi refused to surrender and pooled all their resources into creating some of the most fearsome Dark side creatures ever seen. Supported by these monstrous creatures, the Dark Jedi armies were reinvigorated. Armies fled in terror from the Leviathan's ability to suck life essences into the blister-traps upon their backs.
However, under the combined efforts from the Jedi, the armies were continually pushed back. The last stand of the Dark Jedi was on the world of Corbos. Infighting, along with the bombardment of the Jedi, led to the surrender of the last of the Dark Jedi. After their defeat on Corbos, the surviving Dark Jedi were rounded up by the Republic armies. Stripped of weapons and armor, the Dark Jedi were at the mercy of the justice of the Republic. Although members of the Republic wanted public executions, the Jedi leaders were inclined to banish the rogue Jedi into the unknown in hopes that with time they would see the error of their ways. On the plains of a barren world, the Exiles, as they became known within the Republic, were herded onto unarmed transport ships. Several fighters accompanied the ships to ensure the departure of the Dark Jedi from Republic space. The Hundred Year Darkness was over, and the Jedi had weathered the Second Great Schism.
I thank you all for seeking out such knowledge, for it is through the past that we can adapt for the future. May the Force be with us all. *bows*

| That we do Kazar. Be well to understand the lessons such history give us, as it is with the answers of the past that we are able to answer the questions of the future. There is much to learn from our history, both from the good and the bad. | |

| Well done, nicely written. I would be interested in seeing this Order's history. Is there a guild Historian that is kept to write down events? |

| I've actually been thinkig about that. Problem is that there are practically no members left from the beginning. Except myself, maybe Livi, and Tanis, but he left for a long time and missed alot, everyone else is either inactive until game release or in Ashla. I'll probably write something up about it. Thanks for reminding me. | |
