We could then have 2 squads make up a platoon. and two platoons make up a company. and so on. This would make it easy because we could assign people to squads and then 2 squads would be assigned to a platoon name. and 2 platoons would be assigned to a company name. This would be smart because we could adjust the amount of troops we want in a battle.We can keep going on but i think this is a manageable amount of troops. We could say squad 1 report to jedi temple for breifing. or we could say. platoon 1 (which would be squads 1 and 2 combined) report to jedi enclave. And so one. So when the games come out we put a new section on the main website listing each squad each platoon and each company. this was the format i was thinking about. Quopek also suggested that in each squad we would have a guardian consular and a sentinal.

Not a bad suggestion at all. But I do have a question. Were you basing this system off of actual military groupings? If so you’re grouping is too small for a squad/section. It would be more like a fireteam which is usually 4 or fewer persons. If I could add to your suggestion?

NOTE: The following numbers I have based off of fireteam numbers and not actual military numbers as it would be more feasible for us to use these numbers and does not including any companions that many people will more than likely have, if in such an event more people MAY not be needed for each part of the below mentioned

Fireteam: Part of section
*1 Master (If Master determines that current fireteam needs support, if all sections need support from a Master separation would not be advisable and more Masters are needed)
*1 Knight (Answers directly to Master(s))
*3-4 Padawans (Answer directly to Knight(s) and Master(s) in turn)
Section: 3-4 fireteams but can be separated if need be for multi-approachable situation
*1 Master (More if required)
*3-4 Knights depending on fireteam counts (More if required, answer directly to Master(s))
*9-16 Padawans depending on fireteam counts (Adding more may be suggested but not recommended, answer directly to Knights and Master(s) in turn)
Platoon: 2-4 sections but can be separated if need be, this large of a number of people would more than likely be only for a raid IF participating in such and event and if raids will be part of the game as it is still debatable as far as I know
*1 Council Member (More if required, would accompany a section if support needed)
*2-4 Masters depending on section counts (More if required but more than likely needed as to size of platoon, answer directly to Council Member(s))
*6-16 Knights depending on section counts (More if required but more than likely as to size of size of platoon, answer directly to Masters and Council Member(s) in turn)
*18-64 Padawans depending on section counts (More than the latter number is not suggested as this many Padawans would require more Knights or Masters and could add confusion to the situation, answer directly to Knights, Masters and Council Member(s) in turn)
Company: 3-5 platoons, numbers this high at this time are debatable to outrageous as this many people are not active nor is a platoon size unfortunately nor do we have this many people at the time of this post (262 give or take a few who have left and still on roster), having this many people out at a time may not be suggested unless absolutely necessary, as IF there were to be such things as guild owned bases are in the game leaving it with so little defense would be unwise to say the least, it would leave it open for a Sith guild to raid with little to no resistance
*Grand Master (Needed only if the situation requires)
*3-5 Council Members (More if required but more than likely as to size of company, answer directly to Grand Master)
*6-20 Masters depending on platoon counts (More likely required as to size of company, answer directly to Council Members and Grand Master in turn)
*18-80 Knights depending on platoon counts (More likely required as to size of company, answer directly to Masters, Council Members and Grand Master in turn)
*54-320(Outrageous number I know) Padawans depending on platoon counts (Later number not recommended at all unless last resort, answer directly to Knights, Masters, Council Members and Grand Master in turn)
Battalion: 2-7 companies, numbers this high are outrageous and I will not go into them at all, just to say this would require everybody in the Order and highly not recommended if there were to be guild owned bases, a gathering such as this would most likely be coordinated with a joint guild or union operation, the Grand Master would be jointly in charge along with any other guild leaders that are participating in the operation, joint guild groups would be suggested to ease confusion, more than likely an event such as this would not happen at all unless it were a special event that the Game Moderators were to set up as an all out galaxy wide fight

A very good idea, but how would the teams be put together? Volunteers? Would each fire team commander pick his knights/padawans? this would seem like the best idea to me, as Jedi who are comfortable with each other's tactics, would fight better as a team, just a suggestion, but one i feel should be thought over by the council, after everyone gets a feel for each other's styles strengths/weakness then you would be able to better determine which commander, and which knights

That would probably be a good idea. Personalize everyone's team, people work better when they know each other well. We'll have to decide who will be commanding which teams first. We'll need volunteers and people with at least some knowledge of military.

The point is, we are not military, in the way that, we shouldn't get too attached to others, especially in the same squad. That doesn't mean I say that on every assignment the squad should change, but I would suggest that once in a while, the squads be remade. While a soldier might fight better when he wants revenge for a fallen comrade, we can't have our members want revenge and be consumed by anger and hate.

While the idea of Jedi forming squadrons is a little unnerving, the upcoming battle will require at least some military planning. The idea of personal teams is a good one, but ones that should be routinely changed. This prevents the forming of unnecessary bonds, that can lead to problems later on. However, overall it looks good and with some adjustments that revolve around our teachings, it will achieve its purpose, im sure. Good work to those who though of it, and May the Force be with us all.
