I think we need to start recruting on the official TOR website i think we need more initiates Hybrid said it erlier that there are no available initiates and i think when all the current padawans get knighted there will be no one to train there will only be knights, masters and council members left now it isnt the biggest problem in the world but i think something should be done i mean this it is just my opinion but i wanna no what you guys think

I believe your right, we need to recruite more people for the order. but it's not going to be easy, if anyone wants to take the time to become our recruiter I'll be glad to support them.

I agree, the lack of initiates threaten the growth of the guild. While I dont have much experience recruiting, I would have no problem assisting whoever is given responsibility.

It's good to see people are going to take this seriously now. I completely agree, Knight's can't become Masters officially until they've trained a Padawan to Knighthood themselves.

Well, , I believe it should be a Master who takes over the recruiting, one who isn't very busy with guild maters or senate matters. I vote we nominate Livi as the guild recruiter, since she has done military time, and knows how to get people to sign up.

I dont think recrutment should be just for masters it should be for anyone who knows what there doing and will be able to get people to join i have no problem with Livi being recruter though

I don't know Chris, this seems to be an important matter, that should only be handled by hte most senior members of the guild. They are masters for a reason, and they should be able to set the standars of who tor recruit into the fold. I only say this because I have gotten in trouble for over stepping my positio. It is ultimately up to them, so let them choose, and besides, it might give them some fun things to do.

Nothing wrong with stating ones opinion its how you do it. And I think we need to not nominate someone but have who ever wants to step forward do so prefferably someone with experience with MMOs. If there needs to be someone in charge have the ones who step forward be voted on by the guild and that person oversee overall recruitment

I believe that the ones most interested in this will take it to another level BECAUSE they are interested in this matter. I believe that deeming someone to take control of this duty would be unwise, where as more than one are able to work together. In my understanding, there are those who have already begun recruiting at TOR sites as well as those who are starting creation of a recruiting video. I believe it is those who enjoy a task that will succeed at it the most. Let them lead a cooperative in this task… And I believe that Kael is a great candidate for this matter in the manner of which I speak.

I was actually respectively disagreeing with Alcanor and some others about needing a Master to undertake this role. I DON’T believe that a Master is needed for this role. Kael should head this and others should help as he has requested. I have stated my reasons and was inferring that more than just the recrutment video was already going on. There are those in this guild that want this guild to survive and flourish; those who have been messaging on the TOR sight for others to join us. Respectfully and peacefully I believe that while many matters must only be handled by Masters or sometimes Knights, I believe that this instance is different.

I agree with both Alcanor and Alahew. While Alcanor's point of a higher ranking person be put in command of such an issue is well intended, I also agree with Alahew's motion for a cooperative approach. I believe that, just as Alahew stated, those who are commited to the guild and enjoy working to its success are eligable candidates for this task. However the presence of a master is needed, not because of how it "looks" to other guilds, but rather because as masters, they have developed the skills of patience and understanding as well as the wisdom to guide others into our ranks. In defination, I believe that while a group of like minded individuals commited to the guild is a necessity, atleast one master should be involved in any recruitment efforts, not as a commanding authority but as a partner interested in the expansion of this great guild.

Well said Val but Livi apointed Kael in charge of it and me to help him it would be nice to have a master involved in this but there isnt one at the moment

I see your point, all of you. The most important thing, is that these recruiters are active, knowledgable of our Guild and how it runs, respectable, respectful, and interested in the job. The time is right, we have available trainers and a few Padawans reaching the end of their training, and it's time we replenished our ranks.
As for having a Master on this recruiting team, I would like to volunteer. Mostly because I am a senior member, and know a good deal about the Guild itself and our rules. Before we start this recruiting crusade, we need the Council to officially vote on Daran Hawk's charter, so we have an official set of organised rules for our new guys.

I'm not sure Chris, I remember Nausicaa being pretty interested in this kind of thing awhile ago, but Nausicaa hasn't been very active lately at all. We can't just draft people in, we'd know someone was interested if they volunteered, and would likely stay more active.

Well ive already mentioned to Kael that I was interested in helping the recruitment effort. So I guess that would mean that im volunteering, I do my best to stay relatively active and would be honored to participate in any attempt to further the ranks of this guild.
